Order Buses Early for July 12 T.A.R.A.
Convention
The Texas Alliance for Retired American convention is set for July 12 in Austin.
Cities planning to order a bus for the trip need to start moving. A quick call
to Greyhound brought the response that their charters were already booked up
for the entire month of July. Reservations were available from Coach America,
either by e-mail or by calling
them at 800-256-4723.
For a day trip from North Texas, seats on a 47-seat bus will run approximately
$35 each. The first two local unions asked are grabbing up the seats, and Brother
Charles Whitaker of the Dallas AFL-CIO, who is not even a retiree, has offered
to sponsor three people!
